winter break 2001

1/4/02 thai boxing, patong beach. checking out the happenning nightlife in crowded, noisy and very colorful patong beach. there were fried grasshoppers sold on the roadside, we couldn't resist buying a bag!

1/6/02 phi phi don, andaman sea. on our way to phi phi ley for evening snorkel-sightseeing tour in a longtail boat. reached the beautiful phi phi islands that afternoon via ferry, and checked into the phi phi princess

1/6/02 maya bay, phi phi ley the beauty of this place is beyond words... its a very pretty lagoon and very pretty beach flanked on all corners by very majestic limestone cliffs

1/6/02 the beach, phi phi ley. pretty. this is where they filmed the movie "the beach".

1/6/02 phi phi ley. on our way back to phi phi don. seas were a little rough at that time, we got a bonus ultimate rollcoaster ride back!

1/7/02 harbour, phi phi don. beginning of a day kayaking and snorkelling around the phi phi islands

1/7/02 hilltop lookout, phi phi don. walked up a gazillion steps to reach this lookout, from which we saw the sunset and all of phi phi don

1/7/02 "treehouse" restaurant, phi phi don. the platform we're sitting on was built on a slope and trees were all over us! had awesome steamboat dinner and thai-style shots "banana never sleep" and "horse jumping" and "thai medicine" (yeah, quoting from the menu). it was a happy nite..

1/8/02 phi phi to phuket ferry. not totally sure, but i think the cast of the phuket simon cabaret show was on board. they were pretty friendly... pretty horny
