asia! Graduation.. Packed.. and boarded the plane to taipei! 14+ hours later at about 7am, i arrived at the taipei hostel. uh-oh: yini and gang weren't there! finally managed to contact them - took the subway from shantao to hsimen station to catch them at the rainbow hotel. didn't feel too tired and got to tour taipei quite abit the same day: down with fever and diarrhea for the next couple days.. doh!! still went out touring abit, often times though i was most happy sitting in the toilet or groveling in bed. didn't help that it rained alot. recovered somewhat and went to club VS the final night, which was pretty fun.. crashed for 2 hours, took a cab to the airport and had steamed dumplings for breakfast.. phew! half day transit in kuala lumpur. met up with huilin, yuenlin (+girlfriend) and carolyn.. hungout abit at the petronas twin towers. rode the putra LRT to meetup with auntie and family for dinner, durians and bath before heading back to the airport! arrived in tokyo and faithfully found my way to sen inn. got some shuteye before backtracking to the airport to pickup yini and gang. wandered around abit in shinjuku, shibuya, ginza... lotsa interesting sights (checkout this subway ad) along the way - tokyo's a really vibrant and colorful city! also stopped by gadget galore sony building.. yini and peiling hungout in tokyo city more - gerald and myself went to hakone national park: got the hakone free pass, took odakyu line express train from shinjuku to odawara station, and hopped onto a bus and off at senkyoro-mae bus stop to arrive at the fuji-hakone guest house. it was great - japanese-style accomodation, nice views and a private hot spring! settled in and took the hakone ropeway to owakudani station which sits on a volcano crater.. the entire place was smothered with sulfur fumes! hungout there abit then took the hakone tozan cablecar from sounzan to gora station and caught a bus back to sengokuhara town where we had dinner japanese-style (i ordered unagi. yummy.)
