I first starting hacking at Mailpuccino sometime on March 1998, though I didn't really do any serious work on it until after December 1998! It actually started off as just a humble Project for a Computing Course I was taking at Hwa Chong Junior College, Singapore. But after I posted Mailpuccino on the 'net, I got lots of feedback from individuals all over the world, and that really encouraged me to continue work on Mailpuccino. Besides, there were lots of exciting spin-offs from my work on Mailpuccino, none of which I'll detail here! ;)

Anyhow, please do continue to give me your valuable opinion and feedback, and I sure will continue to improve Mailpuccino very diligiently! Mailpuccino has been improving very rapidly, as those who have tracked it's development will realize. Over in the not-too-distant horizon, Secure Email (Signing and Encryption), Spell Checking, Scripting, etc. are possible features for future releases of Mailpuccino! This is especially true since I'm now pretty satisfied that Mailpuccino now has the core capabilities of an Email Client, so that means I can being thinking about bells-and-whistles, or stuff that other Email Client's don't have!

  About the Author

My name is Kong Eu Tak, an 18 year old Computer Science Freshman in Carnegie Mellon University. For more information about me, visit my Homepage (it's rather outdated though). You can also view my Resume/CV now.

I'll very probably hunt for some internships/off-campus employment during my vacation, so if you'll love me to go to your company to work, please do drop me an Email!. Just a quickie on my skills though: I know Java, C/C++, Pascal, 0x86 Assembly Language, Python and HTML/JavaScript. And I'm always confident of picking up new stuff pretty quickly! I've been programming for some 4 years already, and if look at my Resume, I've won in nearly all the competitions I've participated in. Mailpuccino, which I've wrote all by myself, is award-winning and has been rated Top 5% by JARS and 5 Cows by TUCOWS. There's even a feature article on it in The Swing Connection @ java.sun.com!
