Yeah, if you discover any bugs, please do report them to me at konget168 at yahoo dot com. Also, if possible, give me a full thread dump. Try to give the the circumstances under which the bug reared it's ugly head (or antenna, whatever !).
| Brewing Mailpuccino (ZIP or Self-Installing EXE) - Procedure | | | |
- Since Mailpuccino is a Java Application, you will need a JRE (Java Runtime Environment) to run it (at least version 1.2).
If you do not have a JRE installed, you must first download the JRE. You may download it from the Javasoft Website. For Java Developers: If you have JDK 1.2 installed already, you should know that you can skip this step !
- Install the JRE by running the executable file you downloaded. For example, if you downloaded JRE 1.2 from here, the file you downloaded is "jre12-win32.exe". If you are using Windows 95, click on the "Run..." item in the Start Menu and type in the filename "jre12-win32.exe" to run it.
- Now, you can download the files that constitute Mailpuccino. The file you will be downloading, "mpn0090.exe", is a self-extracting ZIP archive. Just run the file "mpn0090.exe" to install Mailpuccino. After you have extracted the files to a directory, run the batch file "mail.bat" from the command line or from the "Run..." item in the Start Menu. Download "mpn0090.exe"
For Java Developers: The "mail.bat" file contains the command needed to start Mailpuccino. Also, if you prefer a zip file instead, Download "mpn0090.zip" from here.
- Alternatively, Windows users can also just double-click the "mailpuccino.jar" file from Windows Explorer to run Mailpuccino !
