IBM Extreme Blue Summer Internship
ADVANCED INTERNET TECHNOLOGIES GROUP, IBM CORP. CAMBRIDGE, MA.

Designed and developed an agent scripting platform in Java that allows 
the rapid development and deployment of long-lived agents on our server. 
Agents can send/receive instant messages, deploy web services/servlets, 
interact with Lotus Domino, access IBM Middleware, etc. - all in a few lines 
of JavaScript. Technologies employed include SOAP/Web Services, Tomcat, 
JMS, Mozilla-Rhino, Gryphon/JMS, XML and IBM Sash.

PalmOS and PocketPC Developer
SCICONICS, SEMANTIC COMPACTION SYSTEMS. PITTSBURGH, PA.

Developed demos/prototypes of their proprietary technology on the PalmOS 
and PocketPC platforms, which will be presented to potential investors. 
Besides utilizing MFC, HackMaster and PalmOS APIs, I also had to craft 
various tools - e.g. dataloading scripts in PERL to generate PDB files 
from a formatted text input file. Presented weekly updates to the 
President / Founder of the startup and had to constantly incorporate 
feedback into the prototype.

Summer Intern with Trilogy Software

Worked concurrently on 2 projects within the context of their Commission 
Engine (one of Trilogy's most successful E-Business products). First 
project: Implement parallel processing for an engine phase (the Engine 
operates in multiple phases); Second project: Design and develop a new 
formula package for the Engine - formulas would be compiled into Java 
bytecode, which is stored in the database for quick execution in the future. 
Developed a formula migration tool (used a parser, lexical analyzer). Used 
the Backbone API and had to write test suites in both projects.

Mailpuccino Freeware Java Email Client

Independently designed and implemented the entirety of Mailpuccino. 
Implemented IMAP4, POP3 and SMTP myself by reading the relevant RFCs. 
Incorporated LDAP functionality into Mailpuccino by using Sun's JNDI 
(Java Naming and Directory Interface). Mailpuccino has been rated Top 5% 
by JARS (www.jars.com) and awarded the Top Rating of "5 COWS" from TUCOWS 
(www.tucows.com). Open-source since January 2000.
